BWF Bush Tucker Walk

A Bundanoon Winterfest activity 2010: Bush Tucker Walk

A school holiday activity for all run by the NPWS at the Fitzroy Falls Visitors Centre. Celebrating NAIDOC day, join our local aboriginal rangers to learn about traditional art and weaving, try some bush tucker and discover some of the men’s business such as tools and hunting, digeridoo and dance. Bring warm clothing, sunscreen and hat. Cost: Gold coin donation. Meet at the Fitzroy Falls Visitors Information Centre.

BWF Chook Care workshop

Part of the fantastic Bundanoon Winterfest program and back by popular demand, Derek Davies is holding his workshop on the care of chooks. In this two hour workshop he covers many aspects of chook care including breed suitability, feeding, coops, maintenance etc. Numbers strictly limited and booking is essential. Cheese making workshop

Moss Vale Community Garden Cheese making Workshop 3RD JULY 9am to 3pm

Sponsored by the NSW Environmental Education Trust

Our local cheesemaker, Nathan Burke, will show us the techniques for making feta cheese, quarg and yoghurt.

You will be taking home the goodies you make during the workshop.

Cost: $20.00 (includes lunch and refreshments)

Tallong Apple Day

The Tallong Community Focus Group is organising a day of fun and celebrations to recognise the heritage of Tallong.

The day includes:

  • Lots of street market stalls, including local produce stalls with apples and a variety of products for sale – any new stall holders are welcome!
  • Displays of various classic cars, motorcycles and armoured vehicles
  • Goulburn Bowmen Classic Steam Engines
  • Food and refreshments
  • History exhibition
  • Novelty games, rides & jumping castle
  • Raffles
  • Photographic and apple peeling competitions for all ages
  • Live music
  • Quilt displays
  • Displays by police, ambulance and rural fire brigade
  • ‘APPLE’ bake-off competition (pies, cakes, tarts, chutneys, etc.)
