Lecture & Annual General Meeting

CANWin will be holding a very important Lecture & Annual General Meeting in August 2017.

When: FRIDAY 18th AUGUST 2017 at 6:15 for 6:45pm
Where: HENRIETTA ROSE ROOM, BENDOOLEY ST, BOWRAL

Guest Speaker: Noel Ferguson, Economic Development Manager at Wingecarribee Shire Council.

His inspirational presentation will feature the recently successful “Low Carbon Living” project in the Blue Mountains Shire and how this concept could be adapted to Wingecarribee Shire.
The goal would be to engage local businesses and the community at large to achieve mutually beneficial and significant improvements in reducing our carbon footprint and a more sustainable environment.
Reference will also be made to the Southern Highlands Development Framework (2031+ program) concerning its potential application and integration with the Low Carbon Living project.

Time will be allocated for Q & A.

Followed By

A brief Annual General Meeting will be held to round out the evening.

TOPIC:  “SPEAKING TO THE EARTH   –   The earth is an island in a stream of sunlight, ocean blue, cloud white,  a dappled sapphire in the aridity of space”

Winners of High School Speaking Competition celebrating World Environment Week

Theme: “SPEAKING 4 THE PLANET – Connecting People to Nature”

Followed by:

Audience participation in round-table discussion on raising awareness of the problems facing our environment
